CATA is the premier information technology association in eastern New York and western New England.
Our membership has grown to include over 450 User Members, of which over 150 work in technology roles for New York State, and over 450 Vendor Members consisting of voice, data, and video vendors and consultants. CATA currently counts some of the premiere technology companies as members, as well as an assortment of leading corporations, state agencies and universities in the Capital Region. We usually have around 80 people attend our lunches, with about 40 users.
Our monthly meetings are held from September through June. During these meetings, we learn about technology, exchange ideas, meet prospective vendors or customers, and build new business relationships.
Networking and socializing is an important aspect of our mission. Our meetings are held in a variety of formats to offer different opportunities for networking with your peers. Some meetings are during the day, while some are after hours in a “mixer” format. Our December meeting is set aside for a holiday dinner party for members only, and June is reserved for the annual golf tournament.
“CATA is like our own “Linked In” – where you keep in touch with your fellow professionals, and keep track of where they work!” – Peter G., Hosted Computing Solutions
