Our IT Department is looking for an IT Security Administrator to join their team! This is a full-time position. The hours are: Monday - Friday 8:00a - 5:00p

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and advise on possible vulnerabilities and threats.
• Identify threats and work to create steps to defend against them.
• Assist with defining best security practices.
• Work with Senior Network Engineers on network security.
• Monitor network and systems for unusual activity and unauthorized access.
• Assist with annual and ongoing security risk management/analysis assessments.
• Assist with security training and awareness communications.
• Create and maintain security reporting.
• Analyze and establish security requirements to protect CCP assets and ePHI.
• Assist with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning.
• Create and update security policies and procedures.
• Create and maintain HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Create and maintain security diagrams and documentation.
• Vulnerability and Penetration testing.
• Assist with physical security implementations and ongoing administration.
• Perform security audits and reviews.
• Work with Help Desk on operational security issues.
• Provide technical solutions, based on independent thinking and analysis, by
consulting with users to determine security specifications.
• Produce technical knowledge documentation within the IT knowledgebase.
• Remain current with best practices pertaining to networking and security.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or MIS required. Appropriate experience may be substituted for a degree.

• Five years of experience in an IT Security or System Admin with security knowledge.

• Security, Cisco, and Microsoft certifications are preferred.

• Three years experience in networking, application troubleshooting, and hardware maintenance, including computers, printers, and associated peripherals.

• Knowledge and experience in administering Cisco networking devices and technologies

• General experience with storage area networks, EMC, NetApp, and HP is preferred

• Knowledge of VMWare, Citrix, and other virtualization technologies

• Basic coding and programming skills to gather data from multiple data sources to generate reports

• Knowledge of Microsoft, PowerShell scripting, and Macro’s

• Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange is preferred

• Knowledge of Apple OSX and IOS is preferred

• Working knowledge and experience with the use of legacy and current Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Server, Mobile/Workstation) and Microsoft Office applications is required

• Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and other security policies and procedures is required

• Experience in creating and maintaining quality technical and business documentation

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to communicate both internally and externally, as well as the ability to maintain effective cooperative working relationships
